Reaping the benefits of Village Savings and Lending in the Nemakonde Landscape project being implemented by TSURO Trust courtesy of the funding from Nature + project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through the Canadian Food Grains Bank (CFGB) and the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF).

It was all joy and smiles to the 14 different groups of Village Savings and Lending in Nemakonde Landscape as all the different groups celebrated their annual share-out of groceries and household goods, utensils, gas stoves, blankets, Beds and Linen, Farming equipment from their annual savings.

The concept has been incorporated under the Nature + project to reduce poverty through establishment of sustainable Village Savings and Lending Schemes.

The village groups were exposed to different training programs in 2024 focusing mainly on equipping the members on proper business management and they were taken through the training processes covering Business Management Skills training, Farming as Business training, focusing on Costing, Record Keeping, Budgeting and Marketing.

The beneficiaries were also exposed to the Constitution making processes.
