Consultants, government stakeholders and the 𝗧𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗢 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 team convened in M𝐮t𝐚r𝐞 for a strategic reflection on the Nature Plus pilot phase, strengthening collaboration, learning and future programming. The workshop brought together diverse expertise from institutions including the University of Zimbabwe, Bindura University of Science Education, Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre ZWE, and key government departments such as 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗫, 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗗𝗖’𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲.

🔍 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:

✨ Strong community participation and improved social cohesion were noted, with communities actively engaging in project activities and decision making 🤝

🌱 Significant progress in livelihoods and agroecological practices, including apiculture, soil conservation, water management and diversified income streams

👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 Increased inclusion of women and youth in leadership, production systems and community governance structures

⚠️ Coordination gaps, communication challenges and delays in harmonizing consultancy outputs highlighted the need for improved systems

📊 Moving forward, emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination between consultants and stakeholders, improving knowledge sharing through structured reporting systems and aligning consultancy inputs for greater impact. The importance of inclusive, community driven approaches and continuous stakeholder engagement was strongly reinforced.

The session affirmed the value of integrated, evidence based approaches in driving resilience, sustainable livelihoods and a long-term landscape transformation.
