Alongside growing traditional grains to strengthen climate resilience , she also raises f𝐢s𝐡, 𝐠o𝐚t𝐬, a𝐧d p𝐨u𝐥t𝐫y all without relying on expensive hybrid seeds or chemical inputs.

Today, Mrs. Mutetwa enjoys healthier harvests, enough to feed her family and sell the surplus. With the income generated, she is able to p𝐚y h𝐞r c𝐡i𝐥d𝐫e𝐧’𝐬 𝐬c𝐡o𝐨l f𝐞e𝐬 and i𝐧v𝐞s𝐭 𝐢n g𝐫o𝐜e𝐫i𝐞s and 𝐡o𝐮s𝐞h𝐨l𝐝 𝐧e𝐜e𝐬s𝐢t𝐢e𝐬 through her 𝐇e𝐚l𝐭h C𝐥u𝐛 𝐚n𝐝 𝐈S𝐀L𝐒 𝐠r𝐨u𝐩. She also markets her produce at seed fairs, in nearby districts, and at local markets demonstrating how knowledge and community support can transform livelihoods.

Mrs. Mutetwa expressed her heartfelt hope that more community members, especially the 𝐲o𝐮t𝐡, will embrace 𝐚g𝐫o𝐞c𝐨l𝐨g𝐲 and attend the valuable workshops offered in their area. She believes equipping young people with these practical skills can steer them toward productive pathways and 𝐚w𝐚y f𝐫o𝐦 𝐝r𝐮g a𝐧d s𝐮b𝐬t𝐚n𝐜e a𝐛u𝐬e.

She also longs for the revival of food fairs , where traditional meal preparation and preservation techniques can be passed down to the next generation. However, she highlighted ongoing challenges, including p𝐨o𝐫 𝐫o𝐚d c𝐨n𝐝i𝐭i𝐨n𝐬 that 𝐥i𝐦i𝐭 𝐦a𝐫k𝐞t a𝐜c𝐞s𝐬, and appealed for support to fence her fields to protect her crops and small livestock from baboons and monkeys.
