The recently held five-day Ethnobotany Workshop wrapped up on a high note in the scenic hills of Bvumba, bringing together Nature+ project partners for an inspiring exchange of knowledge and practice.

As part of the workshop, participants took a learning tour to Nemakonde Landscape, where TSURO Trust is leading impactful Nature+ interventions.

Delegates from ADRA Mozambique, MICAIA, TSURO Trust, Canadian Foodgrains Bank, ADRA Kenya, World Renew Kenya, and various government departments had the opportunity to witness first-hand the results of Holistic Land and Livestock Management in action.

One of the highlights was a demonstration plot showing the dramatic effects of crop and field impactionโ€”especially on a thriving sorghum crop grown using Lab Lab as a green manure cover crop.

The field, treated during the summer season, showed significantly better performance compared to control plotsโ€”clear proof of the power of sustainable practices.

๐Ÿ‘ Special kudos to lead farmer Filda Gumbo, whose innovative home designs and field practices left delegates deeply impressed and inspired.

In a post-tour interview, Mr. Richard Librock from Alongside Hope shared his excitement:

“The results are real and tangible. This is a powerful demonstration of how crop and field impaction can contribute to food security and nutrition!”

Weโ€™re proud to be part of a movement that’s not only restoring the land but also transforming lives.
