Farmers from 𝐂h𝐢m𝐚n𝐢m𝐚n𝐢 𝐖a𝐫d𝐬 𝟏, 4, 𝟔 𝐚n𝐝 𝟕 participated in a Honey Processing Training aimed at strengthening knowledge, skills and business opportunities within the apiculture sector.![]()

The training covered key areas including h𝐨n𝐞y h𝐚r𝐯e𝐬t𝐢n𝐠, p𝐫o𝐜e𝐬s𝐢n𝐠, p𝐚c𝐤a𝐠i𝐧g, 𝐥a𝐛e𝐥l𝐢n𝐠, m𝐚r𝐤e𝐭i𝐧g 𝐚n𝐝 𝐮n𝐝e𝐫s𝐭a𝐧d𝐢n𝐠 𝐭h𝐞 𝐡o𝐧e𝐲 𝐯a𝐥u𝐞 𝐜h𝐚i𝐧. Participants also explored value addition opportunities through the production of beeswax products, candles, petroleum jelly, honey wine and other honey products.


In addition, farmers gained practical business management skills and were introduced to the 𝟳𝗣𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 which equipped them with the tools needed to improve product quality, market access and profitability.

The training marks an important step towards enhancing sustainable livelihoods, promoting entrepreneurship and unlocking the full potential of beekeeping as a resilient income generating project.
