TSURO is empowering rural communities in Nemakonde landscape through learning and skills transfer in Mechanized Conservation Agriculture.

The 4-day workshop brought together participants, POAZ, ADRA Mozambique, Celuct ZW.

The 4-day skills and knowledge transfer workshop highlighted the importance of integrating soil and water conservation with conservation agriculture, showcasing its potential to enhance soil health, reduce erosion, and boost crop yields.

The workshop participants, POAZ, ADRA Mozambique, Celuct ZW, conducted practical sessions on various soil and water conservation structures and measuring techniques, including contour levels.

The demonstrations of the water ring level technique and spirit level were inspiring, showcasing the precision of these tools.

Thank you to all participants and facilitators (Canadian Foodgrains Bank CA Expert, Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, and Rural Development, Mechanization and Conservation Agriculture Department, Zimbabwe (MCADZ)

Through collaborating towards a more sustainable future, communities are set to eradicate poverty and create food security and nutrition.

Through the Nature Positive Food Systems, it is anticipated that the Nemakonde landscape will become a shining example of a community that fully utilise it’s own local resources for sustainable development
