Fighting Drug and Substance Abuse
TSURO Trust, through its project funders, Brot fĂźr die Welt, Steps for the Future, and LandsAid e.V. , in conjunction with Progression Digital Ark and Zimbabwe Association of Church related Hospital, has partnered the Government of Zimbabwe in the fight Against Drug and Substance Abuse.
The parties who included Government Ministries such as Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Ministry of Primary and Education, Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage join hands in the decentralization of Campaigns Against Drug and Substance Abuse.
The series of workshops, kicked off with a district gathering at Chimanimani grounds.
Another decentralized youth workshop was also conducted on 23 November 2024 through film screening with special emphasis on Campaign Against Drug and Substance Abuse and climate change-related issues in Gudyanga & Hotsprings Secondary, bringing youths from Wards 3 and 5. The decentralized campaigns aims at encouraging youths to participate in activities such as clean-up campaigns, water harvesting techniques: construction of gabions, digging of swales.
